Support for Men

Expectant and New Dads
One of the many reasons I love working in this field is to be able to offer support around male counselling and hypnotherapy, and for those who are soon-to-be a father or have just become one. This also includes the amazing role a step-father or guardian also plays in any on-going support. It is common to feel stressed, overwhelmed and unsure of yourself. The pressure of everyday life alongside societal pressures can lead to isolation and anxiety.
As a father of two young girls, I have found it extremely challenging at times navigating day-to-day life alongside the continued pressures associated with this, such as work and financial pressures, being there for family and continuing on-going commitments. Having children is a great experience but this can also have an impact upon one's levels of stress, anxiety and losing an identity. From being in this position myself, I know the importance of having a good network of support, being able to speak impartially and to develop tools and strategies to move forward.
Male Counselling
I have a special interest in supporting males around their mental health and enabling anyone who is struggling with their self-worth, identity and emotional well-being. By working together we can explore any of the following or your own needs of support:
- Dealing with the demands of societal pressures
- Loss of identity
- Increased anxiety and isolation
- Dealing with feelings of inadequacy or insecurity
- Coping with grief, separation or loss
- Compassion fatigue or burnout
- Fathers and Perinatal Mental Health
Sessions can be flexible and can take place at my therapy room, as a home visit or through Zoom. Please contact Adam on 07950815651 or email: newversion-therapy@outlook.com to speak further and to book in a free consultation.
